US Execs For Going Global

Six managers and booking agents from the United States were among the first round of speakers for the Going Global summit.  

Sept. 2-3 at the Orange Coronation Ballroom in Auckland, Going Global will focus on panels, masterclasses and showcases for emerging New Zealand acts. Also on panels are musicians, producers, composers and label executives.

From the U.S. are Dana Erickson of Grandstand Media & Management, Jackie Shuman of Good Ear Music Supervision, Columbia Records’ A&R manager Jessica Strassman (previously at CAA), Jim Pitt of Conan, Tom Wironen of Post Hoc Management, Zac Ives of Gonerfest and Dick Huey of Toolshed Digital Media.

The large Australian contingent includes a keynote from Colin Daniels, CEO of Inertia Group – whose divisions include Handsome Tours and artist management company IE:Inertia. WME Music’s head of Asia Pacific Brett Murrihy, Signal Agency Group and Homesurgery Management’s Tom Larkin, producer and engineer Anna Laverty, Falls and Groovin’ The Moo festival booker Richard Moffat and publicist Tim Price are also on board.

Other booking agents in the first round also included Kristen Ng from China and Nikita Lavrinenko of Germany’s Paper & Iron Booking Co.
