TicketWeb To Support New Talent

Live Nation’s self-service ticketing platform wants to partner with different local UK promoters to give up-and-coming artists a stage.

The first partnership is with Sam Tucker’s CloseUp Promotions, “for monthly showcases at the Brighton venue Bleach which will feature the country’s top indie and electronic acts,” an announcement reads.

The first of these showcases will consist of a performance by Island Club, Howland, Judas and Seats on Aug. 18. TicketWeb also partnered with the Music Venue Trust as sponsor for this year’s Venues Day on Oct 18, at The Roundhouse.

Sam Isles, managing director of TicketWeb, commented: “Independent live music is what we’re all about, and grassroots music venues are the backbone of the industry.”
