Distorted Tour Dates From Dandy Warhols
Casale tackled the track “Pope Reverend Jim,” which hails from The Dandy Warhols’ ninth studio album. Distortland was released in April via Dine Alone. The LP was first recorded in frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor’s basement on an ’80s cassette recorder, with the finishing touches taking place in the studio. Jim Lowe, who has worked with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, mixed the album.
“Devo is one of The bands of my life,” Taylor-Taylor tells Nerdist.com. “Very possibly THE band, so working with Gerald on this was a life achievement/bucket lister of mine fer sher. I love it and I play it LOUD.”
Along with a few European festival appearances, Dandy Warhols’s summer plans include a hometown gig in Portland, Ore., at KNRK 94.7 Birthday Party and a stop at Denver’s Riot Fest & Rodeo.
