Rock Am Ring Refunds
A good few Rock am Ring visitors won’t have their original tickets. Some pointed out on Facebook that theirs dissolved in the heavy rains, which, alongside harsh thunderstorms, forced Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur to cancel Germany’s iconic festival halfway through on June 4, Saturday night. One explanation for insisting on the original ticket could be to make sure that re-sellers don’t demand compensation alongside their customers.
Holders of the original Rock am Ring 2016 ticket are asked to send it to CTS Eventim’s Bremen office, ideally alongside other documents such as order confirmations or receipts. Southside, another one of Germany’s landmark festivals, was also forced to abort its 2016 edition early on Saturday, June 25.
Promoter FKP Scorpio already announced that they are planning to accommodate visitors in some form. Fans registering for the pre-sale of Southside’s 2017 edition can enter their 2016 ticket number, which suggests that they may receive a discount on next year’s edition. Fans not in possession of their original tickets are told to still register and contact FKP’s service team after.
