Annual Food, Music And Arts Festival Launches New Efforts
Organizers of an annual food, music and arts festival in Oakland County have announced new efforts to expand cultural programs and engage with the public.
Ford Arts Beats & Eats organizers said Wednesday the festival set for Sept. 2-5 is launching a project with the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts called Meters Made Beautiful. Online applications are being accepted for the beautification project and contest will feature roughly 150 painted parking meters in downtown Royal Oak.
A scavenger hunt and giveaway dubbed #ABEHunt16 aims to keep festivalgoers socially connected and offers chances to win prizes. Participants who take a photo of, with or in the location of something included in the hunt will be eligible for prize drawings from presenting sponsor Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.
