Declan McKenna Launching Inaugural U.S. Tour

After making his U.S. TV debut on Conan May 25, teenage singer-songwriter Declan McKenna now has an EP to his name and five stops lined up in the U.S. for his first tour in North America.

The hype-train on this kid is picking up steam, as he performed at SXSW earlier in the year and managed to fill up New York’s Rockwood Music Hall. Now he has shows in California, Colorado and Missouri scheduled over two weeks in August. One of the performances is at Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco.

McKenna will be in Europe in June and July, and will perform at numerous shows in his native UK. He is booked at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2016 this weekend, This Is Not A Love Song in June and Rockwood Music Hall in September, along with many others.

McKenna’s EP, Liar, includes “Brazil,” his radio hit about 2014 World Cup corruption. The song is charting in the U.S.

The 17-year-old rose to prominence when “Brazil” went viral and he subsequently won Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2015.
