‘Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea’ Adds Artists
The good times begin Feb. 6 when the Norwegian Jade steams out of Tampa, Fla., for Costa Maya, Mexico, returning Feb. 10. The previously announced lineup includes Larkin PoeThe London Souls, Blind Boy Paxton, and King Solomon Hicks.
Bonamassa recently talked up the cruise, announcing Allman’s participation as well as a few other lineup additions.
“We have some amazing return acts and some legendary new artists this year, including one of my favorites of all time, Gregg Allman,” Bonamassa said. “Jaimoe from The Allman Brothers Band is bringing his jazz band, a great player named Anders Osborne is joining us, and many more new additions. It’s going to be a lot of fun. And that’s why we do it. It’s all about the music and the camaraderie between the bands!”
But wait! There’s more! The Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea lineup also features Blues Music Awards winner Mr. Sipp, Mingo Fishtrap, Honey Island Swamp Band, Homemade Jamz Blues Band, and Muddy Magnolias.
Fans can expect three performances by Bonamassa, fun stuff to do with many of the artists, impromptu collaborations, and even opportunities to show off your own blues chops by jamming with other cruisers. Of course, the Norwegian Jade’s 13 bars, 19 dining experiences, hot tubs, outdoor pool and spa treatments make up the icing on the proverbial, ocean-going cake.
