International Bookers, Managers, For BIGSOUND

International bookers, festival promoters and artist managers are among those heading to Brisbane Sept 7-9 for the BIGSOUND conference and showcase.

They were among the first 30 speakers announced. From the United States are Matt Ash (Raw Power Management), Alex Becket (Creative Artists Agency), Sebastian Freed (The Bowery Presents), Josh Roth (Superfly), Tom Wironen (Post Hoc Management), Emmy Feldman (Canvasback), Jim Pitt (one time Conan O’Brien Show booker) and Dana Erickson (Grandstand Media & Management). From the UK are Alex Bruford (ATC Live) and Roman Trystram (Creative Artists Agency), with Marco Walzel of Germany’s Avocado Booking and Jane Flynn of Hong Kong promoter Songs For Children.

They join Australia live music stalwarts such as New York-based Jaddan Comerford of UNIFIED (whose company manages singer songwriter Vance Joy), Katie Rynne of Select Music agency, Alastair Green of Maker agency and Edwin Tehrani of New World Artists, with hip hop artists A.B. Original and Lindsay McDougall of punk rock band Frenzal Rhomb and one-time youth radio triple j broadcaster.

The largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, BIGSOUND last year drew 1,226 delegates with 150 acts showcasing before 5,000 patrons.
