Daniels will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall. His 50-year career includes six multi-platinum albums, Grammy, CMA and ACM awards. One of his best known hits is “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” which is a platinum-selling single.

On Nov. 30 the “Charlie Daniels 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam” will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., with Kid Rock and comedian Larry the Cable Guy with more acts to be announced. The first Volunteer Jam showcased in 1974 and the second jam in 1975 was released as a film.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit, The Journey Home Project, which Daniels co-founded with his manager, David Corlew. The organization assists Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

“This year, I combined two milestones, my 80th birthday and the Volunteer Jam. It’s pretty amazing that we’re both alive and kicking and still going strong. Ain’t it good to be alive and be in Tennessee?” Daniels said.

General onsales begin May 13 at 10 a.m. CST. Visit CharlieDaniels.com for more information.
