The Low Anthem To Echo In U.S., UK

The tour kicks off in the band’s native Providence, R.I. and mostly sticks to the East Coast of the U.S. and the UK.

Membership in the group has fluctuated over the decade it has been in existence, but the core of the band, the duo of Ben Knox Miller and Jeff Pry in Providence. The band used what it calls a once obsolete venue as a personalized recording studio and performance space, in which it was able to experiment with different acoustics and techniques. Over the past half-decade Miller and Prystowsky have been using the Columbus Theatre to record over 30 bands.

Eyeland was the band’s own creative effort using the Columbus Theatre, but this is not the first time the band has used unique recording spaces. 2011’s Smart Flesh was cut in an abandoned pasta sauce factory.

The album takes the form of a narrative and will also be a theatrical production, to be put on by Trinity Rep in 2017.
