Ozzy And Sharon Osbourne Reportedly Splitting
Following Saturday’s post from E! News that “the couple mutually agreed that Ozzy would move out of the house temporarily,” Rolling Stone contacted a representative for the Osbournes who confirmed Sunday that, “At this time, Ozzy is not in the marital home.”
RS notes that the couple briefly took time apart in 2013 because of Ozzy’s relapse into substance abuse.
This time around, Ozzy is being accused of cheating on Sharon with a 45-year-old celebrity hairdresser, according to the Daily Mail.
The U.K. publication points out in March year Sharon announced on an episode of “The Talk” that she once caught two of the families’ nannies “in bed with Ozzy. At different times.” The Daily Mail adds that Sharon explained that he was not sober and was “calling them his first wife, he’s calling them me.”
But maybe there’s still hope for the Osbourne’s marriage. If one of People’s sources is to be believed, “they would not be surprised if they worked through their breakup.”
Although Hollywood Life reported Sunday that it had the exclusive scoop that Sharon “is talking to producers about addressing … the alleged cheating scandal on ‘The Talk,’” she instead skipped Monday’s co-hosting duties on the CBS show.
Co-host Julie Chen spoke to the audience about Sharon’s absence and the rumors, according to People.
“There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same,” Chen said.
It isn’t clear how the split will affect Ozzy’s career. In addition to co-hosting “The Talk,” Sharon manages Ozzy and Black Sabbath.
Sharon and Ozzy were married in July 1982. They have three children together – Aimee, Kelly and Jack.
