Tyler and his Nashville-based backing band, Loving Mary, will play mostly theatres and performing arts centers during the July-September journey.  So far, Aerosmith’s calendar only shows four shows – Sept. 16 at the in Del Mar, Calif., and Brazilian cities Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo and Recife, Oct. 11, 15 & 21, respectively.

Evidently Tyler has been thinking about going on his own tour ever since he performed acoustically on PBS’s “Front and Center” series, according to USA Today.

“What would I not pay to go see [Paul] McCartney, but instead of playing with whoever he’s with now, actually do [a show] where he tells you what he was thinking when he wrote ‘Yesterday?’ That’s what I’m doing.  I figured I‘d talk about ‘Sweet Emotion’ and ‘Dream On’ and where I was when I wrote it, and ‘Seasons Of Wither’ and how I played it,” Tyler said.

Tyler’s venture into country music has resulted in the singles “Love Is Your Name” and “Red, White and You.”  The singer also purchased a home in Nashville and is working with T Bone Burnette on an album, according to USA Today

Tyler has a couple of gigs before getting down to the serious business of city-after-city touring. He’ll rock the in Nashville June 11 and in Laconia, N.H., June 15.
