It’s Official: Desert Trip Set For October

After weeks of unofficial reports, artist quotes and teaser videos, the day you’ve been waiting for is here – ticket onsale information has been revealed for the “once-in-a-lifetime” event featuring The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and The Who.

As initially reported by the Los Angeles Times last month, the three-day concert produced by Goldenvoice will indeed take place Oct. 7-9 at the home of Coachella – the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.

While some snarky music sites have been referring to the event as “Oldchella,” the concert is actually being called . And what a trip it will be, with the Stones and Dylan playing Oct. 7, McCartney and Young Oct. 8, and Waters and The Who Oct. 9. As promised, each artist will play a full set. Dylan will be joined by his band and Young will be backed by Promise Of The Real. Performances start after sunset.

Tickets go on sale May 9 at 10 a.m. PDT. Three-day passes start at $399 for general admission. Reserved floor passes range from $699 to $1,599, reserved grandstand tickets are available for $999 and $1,599, and standing pit passes are priced at $1,599. Single-day GA passes will be available for $199. Quoted prices do not include applicable service charges.

Hotel packages, premium seating, RV and tent camping will be available.

As for F&B, event organizers are gathering “an all-star lineup of world renowned chefs and 40 of the best restaurants from Los Angeles to New York.”
