It’s Official: Desert Trip Set For October
The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Roger Waters are some of the highlights of the three-day Desert Trip Oct. 7-9, a classic rock companion festival to Coachella and Stagecoach events at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif.
Tickets go on sale May 9 at prices ranging from a one-day general admission pass (plus fees, of course) for $199 to three-day reserved passes for $1,599. VIP experiences, hotel packages and camping will also be available.
Two acts will play each night: The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan Oct. 7, Paul McCartney and Neil Young & The Promise of the Real Oct. 8, and Roger Waters with The Who to close things out Oct. 9.
Performances will begin after sunset, so need to worry about sunscreen, and all artists will perform full sets, according to the organizers at Goldenvoice.
