The Go-Go’s Say ‘Bye Bye’
The 2010 “Happily Ever After” tour was supposed to be The Go-Go’s swan song. But the outing was scrubbed just weeks before it was to launch at Lilith Fair in Southern California when Wiedlin suffered a knee injury after falling 20 feet while hiking. The guitarist’s subsequent surgery put the kibosh on that year’s farewell plans.
Now the ladies are ready for one last road trip. “The Go-Go’s Farewell Tour” launches in Clearwater, Fla., in early August and wraps later that month in Los Angeles. Stops in between include Boston, Toronto, Phoenix and Las Vegas. Singer/songwriter Kaya Stewart is also on the ticket while Best Coast appears on select dates.
