Move Concerts Colombia, Spin Agency and Grupo Aval have joined forces to create La Morada, a digital space hosting free content that provides viewers the option to provide a “cesta basica” (basic food basket) for the families of Colombian production crew currently out of work.

La Morada was launched April 17 and has already featured J Balvin, Juanes, Carlos Vives and Fonseca. To date the project has donated 900 food baskets and has drawn 600,000 visitors through the website, Instagram and other social media
Programming on La Morada includes performance footage, interviews, video game soccer matches, and cooking. All content on the platform is in Spanish.
“As the reality sunk in fear was all that I felt. 2020 was supposed to be our best year ever. We had a calendar filled with brand events and concerts. Our budget goals were already accomplished and then, out of the blue, our world froze,” Nicholas Martinez of Move Concerts Colombia and Spin Agency said in a statement. “Then I started thinking about our office in Bogota operates with 32 people, plus when doing events, there may be hundreds of direct and in-direct hires: producers, stagehands, roadies, security, sound and light engineers, riggers, tour managers, and other jobs that are the real foundation of our business – the Chinomatics (the affectionate nickname local production crews are affectionately called in Colombia).”
Move Concerts Colombia Talent Director and now General Manager for La Morada Fernando Escobar added: “We are essentially running a TV station that airs on a digital platform and social media with a programming grid that extends 7 AM to 11 PM daily. This is non-stop.”
Move Concerts, the titan independent promoter of South America, recently partnered with Loud And Live and the two are working together on the Soda Stereo tour that has been rescheduled for 2021.  CEO Phil Rodriguez was one of the early voices calling for calm as the fear of coronavirus was ramping up at ILMC in March. “On paper, I could have the best year ahead of me,” he said, adding that it could quickly turn around to become the worst year ever, should the worst-case-scenario of flight and event cancellations manifest.
