Carrie Davis Leaves Live Nation After 5 Years
After serving as Live Nation’s chief communications officer since 2015, Carrie Davis informed Pollstar Feb. 14 that she is leaving the company with no clear plans for her next step.
Davis said in a note to Pollstar that she has decided to “refocus my priorities on myself and my family,” and has no idea where the next chapter will take her.
Jackie Beato will take over her communications responsibilities at Live Nation.
During Davis’ tenure Live Nation saw tremendous growth, and as of Q3 in October, 2019 was on pace to be the company’s best year ever.
Prior to her time with Live Nation, Davis worked at Disney Interactive and Yahoo!, and ran her own PR firm before that.
She recently spoke on a panel at Pollstar Live! 2020, saying: “If you’re dealing with bad news, the news cycle is your best friend, because almost nothing sticks. If you’re trying to break good news, almost nothing sticks. It goes both ways, unfortunately or fortunately.”
During the panel Davis also discussed how she got her start in the PR world representing hip-hop clients including Wu-Tang Clan.
