ACL Goes Digital With YouTube Livestream This Weekend
Austin City Limits Music Festival is still alive with broadcasts of favorite performances from throughout the years being livestreamed exclusively on YouTube Oct. 9-11.
ACL Fest 2020 include Billie Eilish, Phish, Queens Of The Stone Age, Radiohead, Twenty One Pilots, My Morning Jacket, LCD Soundsystem, Willie Nelson, Juanes, Paul McCartney and many, many more.
The event will also feature special appearances from Shakey Graves, Austin Mayor Steve Adler, Bryan Stevenson, Ricky Williams and many others.
ACL is partnering with Austin Parks Foundation [as it has since 2006] to feature Austin-based artists performing at unique locations from throughout the city.
The event is also being sponsored by Salesforce, which is promoting a Make Change initiative hosted by Matthew McConaughey, who will chat with athletes Andy Roddick and Raasin McIntosh along with local entrepreneurs.
The even is also partnering with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote initiative.
The City of Austin was hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic as the city normally relies on SXSW to support many local businesses, but that event was called off due to concern about the spread of the coronavirus.
C3 Presents, which puts on ACL, was also forced to cancel the live version of Lollapalooza this summer, but did put a digital version of the festival on.
