Tickets For Garth Brooks' Drive-In Concert Halted; Will Resume Saturday

Ticket sales for Garth Brooks’ June 27 drive-in concert were halted July 19 by Ticketmaster, after 50,000 tickets were sold in two hours, leaving an estimated 120,000 hopefuls waiting for a chance to purchase tickets. Sales will resume Saturday June 20 at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET, according to Ticketmaster.

“We had an issue today during the on sale in which fans may have received an error message during checkout; however, their order and credit card was processed, causing some fans to have duplicate tickets and charges, which are being refunded. We will be putting all the events back on sale tomorrow, Saturday at 12pm ET / 9am PT. These will be general admission tickets so don’t worry, you have another chance to join us at the drive-in for a great Garth event.“

The $100 tickets are sold per car/truck. A representative for Brooks estimated that with an average of five people per car, ticket sales already completed represent up to 50,000 fans. If all 120,000 still waiting to purchase complete orders on Saturday, that would represent as many 600,000 fans.

Once ticketbuyers arrive at Ticketmaster’s Garth Brooks portal, they will be able to review nearby drive-ins that are carrying the concert. Drive-in theater owners who are not already on board to air the concert can contact producer Encore Live to make arrangements at [email protected].

The show will adhere to guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as all state and local health mandates.

Encore Live has partnered with leading health experts to establish procedures for staff and fans. These will include maintaining at least six feet of space between vehicles, the use of personal protective equipment by staff, leveraging contactless payment and ticketing systems, and limiting capacity in restrooms. Guidelines around concessions will also be enforced to abide by individual state regulations.
