MSG Entertainment Names Deirdre Latour Executive VP And Chief Communications Officer

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. has named Deirdre Latour as the company’s new executive vice president and chief communications officer. Latour succeeds Kimberly Kerns, who will remain in the role until Dec. 31, with Latour taking over starting Jan. 3.

“We are pleased to welcome Deirdre to MSG,” said Jim Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment, in a statement. “We have some of the most recognizable entertainment and sports properties in the world – which garner significant media interest. Her experience developing and executing successful communications strategies on a global stage will be an asset as both MSG Entertainment and MSG Sports continue to pursue their respective growth plans.”

Latour will be responsible for leading public relations for venues, live entertainment and sports teams, financial reporting, issues management and more as the head of the communications department for MSG Entertainment. Latour will additionally serve as the chief spokesperson on press matters while also providing senior counsel to ensure activities are supporting key business objectives.

Latour most recently served as president of Eldman New York and oversaw the communication firm’s largest office. Ahead of that, she had been the chief corporate affairs officer at Pearson. 

In June, MSG Entertainment promoted Randy Fibiger to senior vice president, bookings and expanded Josephine Vaccarello’s role to senior vice president of MSG Live & Business Operations. That same month saw Foo Fighters opened up the iconic venue for the first time since the pandemic first started, marking the return of live music to Madison Square Garden.

MSG Entertainment president of development and construction Jayne McGivern appeared on Pollstar and VenuesNow‘s collaborative Women of Live list earlier this year.
