Aziz Ansari, who announced “The Last Minute Tour” Wednesday, performs in May 2014.
Aziz Ansari announced a string of dates Wednesday that will see the comic performing before 2021 comes to a close.
Appropriately titled “The Last Minute Tour,” Ansari will hit the road the day after Christmas, kicking his brief run off with two shows at The Fillmore Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 26-27.
Ansari, who was born and raised in South Carolina, will then head to the Palmetto State’s Charleston Gaillard Center for a Dec. 30 gig to round out his 2021 touring. From Jan. 2 to 24, the comic will play six shows, traversing Austin, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington, D.C., before wrapping at New York’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 24.
A reliable comedy booking in the 2010s, Ansari’s top showing of the decade was a two-show October 2014 run at Madison Square Garden that sold 23,412 tickets and grossed $912,334. More recently, he moved 13,650 tickets for a gross of $784,161 across four shows at the Windy City’s Chicago Theater, March 3-5, 2019, and 11,364 tickets for a gross of $684,821 over two shows at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Both of those 2019 runs were nearly sold out.
Ansari’s most recent stand-up special, “Aziz Ansari: Right Now,” arrived in 2019, while the most recent season of his Netflix comedy, “Master of None,” dropped in May.
Tickets for Ansari’s upcoming touring go onsale on Dec. 17 at 12 p.m. local time. Find the dates for “The Last Minute Tour” below.
