Innings Festival 2022 To Feature Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Roger Clemens
– Innings Festival 2021
The C3 Presents-produced Spring Training coinciding and Major League Baseball-themed Innings Festival is set to take place Feb. 26-27, 2022, at Arizona’s Tempe Beach and Tempe Arts Park, headlined by Foo Fighters and Tame Impala, along with other top musical talent such as St. Vincent, Billy Strings and My Morning Jacket, baseball pitching legend Roger Clemens and many more.
The two-day event will feature 20 bands on two stages, with further artists including Black Pumas, Fitz And The Tantrums, Dashboard Confessional and more, as well as curated food vendors, and more. Baseball talent taking part in the event include pitchers such as Clemens, Jake Peavy, Dave Stewart, and more. Tickets are on sale now.
C3’s Tim Sweetwood, known for creating festivals such as the Shaky Knees events in the Southeast, previously told Pollstar that the opportunity for a festival taking place during Spring Training was obvious after checking out the annual Cactus League, where half of the MLB teams get ready for the regular season with exhibition games in climes typically warmer than, say, the Minnesota Twins’ home field.
“Every game is sold out, there’s people of all ages, hundreds of thousands of people, and all the games start at noon and then there’s nothing to do when the games are over,” added Sweetwood, who has also developed the Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park, N.J.
“It’s gone really well. You can tell when events are doing well because they return, right?” Sweetwood said, laughing. “I think we’ve found a nice equation with the two-day festival. People seem to get more excited every year.”
