Resurging COVID cases have led to promoter TEG Dainty pushing Guns N’ Roses’ Aussie tour back 12 months to late 2022.

President & CEO Paul Dainty explained, “Despite our best efforts and working with the relevant authorities in New Zealand and Australia it recently became clear that we could not proceed in 2021 due to COVID’s resurgence.
“Re-scheduling what is likely to be the biggest stadium rock tour of next year does take some time and I’m delighted that the stars have now aligned.”
The new Australian dates are:
November 18 : Optus Stadium, Perth
November 22: Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
November 24: Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast
November 27: Stadium Australia, Sydney
November 29: Adelaide Oval
December 3: Melbourne Cricket Ground
In New Zealand, the Wellington Sky Stadium date is now on Dec. 8. The Dunedin show has been scrapped, and Guns N’ Roses become the first international act to play the 50,000-seat Eden Park in Auckland Dec. 10.
The stadium opened to concerts this year, and New Zealand live drawcard SIX60 were the first to do the honors, in the southern spring.
Eden Park CEO Nick Sautner said the Gunners’ show would “provide much needed escapism and economic benefit to Auckland. Eden Park could not be more excited to play host to these legendary rockers. We anticipate a massive response to the addition of an Auckland show.”
The Gunners were one of three internationals to mark the return of stadium tours in 2021. KISS, and Under The Southern Stars with Cheap Trick, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots, pushed back months ago.
