The Eagles’ planned tour resumption at Madison Square Garden in New York City Aug. 22 is postponed, thanks to a state of emergency declared in the city because of Hurricane Henri, expected to make landfall on Long Island that morning.

Because of expected severe weather conditions, the show is pushed back to Wednesday, Aug. 25, with the scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 24 concert proceeding as planned.

Tickets for Sunday’s show will be valid for the rescheduled date and will not need to be exchanged.

The band will perform a set commemorating the 1976 album Hotel California with a full orchestra and choir, and will also perform a set of greatest hits from throughout the group’s existence.

The MSG concerts are Eagles’ first scheduled shows for 2021, followed in the next two weeks by TD Garden in Boston Aug. 27-28 and Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The group has a full arena plotted in October, consisting of two and three-night stands in most markets.

Eagles are normally are touring powerhouse, coming in at No.7 on Pollstar’s 2020 Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart with $33.6 million grossed on 10 shows in four cities in a COVID-impacted year.
