Lorde To Bring ‘Solar Power’ Worldwide In 2022

Lorde plays iHeart Radio Secret Sessions by AT&T at the Houdini Estate in Los Angeles Aug. 29.
Lorde recently dropped her latest single, “Solar Power,” and has now shared news that there will be a full album and tour with the same name.
The song was released during the only solar eclipse of 2021, and the full album is due out Aug. 20. The artist said of the full project: “The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors. In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learned to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through.”
The global tour is currently routed through New Zealand, North America, The United Kingdom and Europe in the first six months of 2022. The North American dates are all being promoted by AEG Presents. 
A presale will be held for fans on Lorde’s email list and the general onsale begins June 25.

Lorde came in at No. 122 on Pollstar’s 2018 Top 200 North American Tours chart with $9.7 million reportedly grossed. She was repeatedly in headlines that year for cancelling her scheduled performance in Tel Aviv, Israel after activist groups said she should boycott the country because of human rights violations.
