Promoter and talent buyer Mark Bradley, who founded Aspire Presents in Richmond Va., in 2015, has launched Legacy Concerts, booking shows at venues including the Canal Club in Richmond; The End and Exit/In in Nashville; Motorco Music Hall in Durham, N.C.; Ottobar in Baltimore and others.

“My new company, Legacy Concerts, is a bold step to redefine our image in the industry with a new team, new rotation of venues, and new affiliated companies,” Bradley says in a statement to Pollstar, mentioning as examples See Tickets and Hive email marketing. “We are poised to emerge post-COVID stronger than ever and will establish a lasting reputation for great marketing and lasting memories. It will be more important than ever post-pandemic for artists to work with promoters who have in-depth knowledge of marketing, to ensure mutual success. We aim to be that solution for artists and venues.”
Bradley says with Aspire he branched out to booking shows in 29 venues in seven states, producing nearly 1,000 events including with bands such as Code Orange, Circa Survive, Between The Buried And Me and others.
He says the name Legacy has multiple meanings, but most importantly is about the fans.
“I don’t care if people at shows know who we are, but during the pandemic we’ve had people reaching out to me and the company saying thanks for the memories, sharing stories from a year ago saying they can’t way to get through this and go to a show again. Those memories are our legacy, and that’s really cool.”

Bradley says that 2020 and the current state of things have made things murky at best, requiring lots of cooperation and improvisation as the world looks to open back up.
“The calendar management aspect is very difficult. It’s just been about being extremely organized and prioritizing rescheduled shows with tickets sold over other things,” he says.  Bradley notes the importance of making the shows that need to happen happen, despite a loaded calendar and every show needing backup dates in case they need to be moved.
“Everything is kind of theoretical right now, where people will confirm dates while they’re also holding dates for 2022. ‘OK, so that date is not available, but, how not available is it?'” he says, laughing.
