Margo Price Announces In-Person, Socially Distanced Tennessee Show

Margo Price announced an in-person, socially distanced concert Monday.

The gig – Price’s first with fans since 2019 – will take place outdoors at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheater in Pelham, Tenn., on May 28, 2021.

Fans will be able to purchase pods for 2, 4 or 6 people, running $170, $300 and $360 before tax and fees, respectively. Tickets go onsale on Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. CT.

Arrival will be staggered and guests will answer COVID-19 screening questionnaires and receive temperature checks. Masks will be mandatory whenever patrons leave their pods, and concessions and merchandise will be ordered exclusively through an app and delivered contactless. The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheater, situated about an hour and a half southeast of Nashville, opened above the famous underground Caverns in October, and already has more than a dozen spring shows on its calendar, including Del McCoury Band (April 18) and St. Paul and The Broken Bones (April 23-24).

Price released her third studio album, That’s How Rumors Get Started, in July 2020. Weeks earlier, she released the live album Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman, recorded over three sold-out nights at the famed Nashville venue in May 2018. According to Pollstar Boxoffice reports, the gigs moved 6,815 tickets and grossed $247,280.

Despite the lack of physical touring, Price made several livestream appearances in 2020, including two ticketed, audience-less shows broadcast from Brooklyn Bowl Nashville in September.

In August 2019, Price opened several successful shows for Chris Stapleton; prior to the pandemic, she was booked to open for The Head and The Heart on it spring tour.
