Ticketing veteran Steve Oberman has been promoted to executive vice president and head of music at See Tickets from his previous role as VP of business development.
Oberman will lead all music-related business development and client acquisition efforts in North America and be responsible for sustaining long-term revenue growth, according to the announcement.
Other promotions and role changes at the company include Daniel Spicka being promoted to Executive Vice President of Venue Partnerships from Vice President of Business Development and Phil Lawrence being promoted to Vice President of Festival Partnerships from Senior Manager of Strategy and Partnerships. Alongside these promotions, the See Tickets has added two new Account Managers, Nashville-based Steo Britton and Los Angeles-based Allison Leidy.
“Steve has been one of the key drivers of See Tickets becoming the most prolific and experienced ticketing partner to independent music festivals and venues in the country,” said Boris Patronoff, CEO of See Tickets North America, “The trust and respect that he has earned in the music space will continue to serve him well in his new role.”
“This team is the best in the business,” said Joe Salem, Chief Revenue Officer of See Tickets North America, “Our exponential growth in the last few years is indicative of the character and integrity that these three have demonstrated, and we couldn’t be happier to have Steo and Allison join the team.”
The news comes after a busy 2021, during which the company says its North American business was the fastest growing ticketing platform Stateside, adding more than 150 independent venues to its portfolio. The company was also instrumental in helping to support the formation of the National Independent Venue Association that passed vital legislation to help keep live venues afloat during the pandemic.
The company’s ticketing partners include festivals such as Pitchfork Music Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Afropunk, LA Pride Fest, Ubbi Dubbi and more, as well as overseas events including Glastonbury. Venues in its portfolio include The Troubadour in LA, Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, Exit/In in Nashville, and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and more.
