Marley’s Yellow Puke?

Marley’s Mellow Mood, a relaxation drink named after Bob Marley, has apparently made some people sick.

Students at Satz Middle School and Holmdel High School in New Jersey could buy the drink on campus, but several of the middle schoolers got sick after doing so Dec. 1.

The drink is promoted to reduce stress, and the nutrition facts say it may cause drowsiness and is not intended for children. The school district’s food service provider has removed a manager pending an investigation.

Chartweels School Dining Services has removed the drink.

The company issued a statement in which it said it takes this situation very seriously.

It should be noted that Marley was a known marijuana advocate, which is considered by many to reduce stress, and is probably why his name is on the product.

It is not surprising a public school district would want to distance itself from Marley-branded products promoting relaxation.
