Bigger Trouble

A New York murder suspect arrested in November 2010 after being spotted on the JumboTron at a Charlotte Bobcats game at Time Warner Cable Arena in North Carolina has also been charged with check fraud and identity theft for allegedly stealing more than $150,000.

Earl Barranco is accused of repeatedly shooting a man in the head at a Manhattan diner in October 2010 over a money dispute, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

The new charges are the result of an ongoing investigation related to the murder.
