BDG Reopens In Vilnius
Baltic Development Group has reopened its Lithuanian office with the announcement that it will promote
Two days later, the act plays the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn, Estonia, where BDG is based.
After withdrawing from the Lithuanian market almost a decade ago, Peeter Rebane’s company is now hooking up with former Baltic Concert Group partners Deividas Afarjanc & Alius Karablikovas.
“The Lithuanian concert market has developed a lot thanks to the recovering of the local economy,” Rebane explained, although the opening of the new 15,000-capacity Zalgiris Arena in the country’s second-largest city has clearly influenced the move.
Reopening the Vilnius office means BDG and regular promoting partner Live Nation Finland can once again service all three Baltic markets in-house.
It’s a move that coincides with Risto Juvonenen returning to the LN office in Helsinki, after a sabbatical that lasted 18 months, fueling speculation that he’s come back to head the company’s drive into The Baltics and Russia.
BDG Music head promoter Eva Palm says that teaming with Afarjanc and Karablikovas, who’ve specialised in club and theatre shows, “complements our arena and stadium tours.”
