Cop Stabbed Outside Concert

A Camden, N.J., police officer was stabbed June 4 while working traffic detail near the Susquehanna Bank Center and remained in critical condition at press time.

The officer went to break up a fight in front of a food court on the city’s waterfront when he was stabbed in the chest.

Police arrested two Camden men in the incident, according to WPVI-TV in Philadelphia. Ronald Belcher is charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses, while Lamont Cloud is charged with obstructing justice and resisting arrest.

Investigators told WPVI they do not believe Cloud, Belcher or the group they were fighting with had attended the concert – a free radio show featuring country artists including Jason Aldean, Thompson Square, Chris Young and Steel Magnolias.
