Richmond Joins KBK

Former UK agent Gary Richmond has joined Klaus Bönisch’s KBK Concerts, as the DEAG company strengthens its team in Munich and Berlin.

Richmond, who worked at what was the UK’s Station Agency before moving on to manage Belgian band Vaya Con Dios, will join the Munich office as a promoter.

Max Wentzler, whose background includes PR and music production, will be joining the Berlin office – where DEAG and Bönisch are based – to look for new acts.

He’ll be working alongside Marion von Aschwege, agent for Avidan & The Mojos, who joined KBK when it opened its Berlin office February 2010.

With two offices and a larger team, Bönisch – whose company has been part of DEAG since 2005 – says he’s hugely optimistic about future business.

The tours in the pipeline include Chris De Burgh, Magnum, Tarja Turunen, Rush, Status Quo, Deep Purple and Jean-Michel Jarre.
