Photog Snaps At Live Nation

A UK rock photographer is taking legal action against Live Nation because he claims it used his picture of Pete Townshend without his permission.

Ross Halfin alleges that LN used a black-and-white photo he took in 1978 – during The Who’s final performance with original drummer Keith Moon – and then created a stylised reproduction.

Papers filed in Manhattan federal court says the U.S. entertainment giant then used the reproduction on lithographs and sundry items of merchandise including lighters “and even a blanket.”

Halfin is reportedly seeking unspecified damages.
