It’s Trib Time

The Amphitheatre at Station Square in Pittsburgh has been renamed the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at Station Square, with the inking of a new title sponsorship.

It’s the latest in a series of rebrandings for the 5,000-seat shed that was opened by DiCesare-Engler Productions in 1989 as Melody Amphitheatre. Trib Total Media is parent company to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The Tribune’s print rival, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, had its own branding deal at the Live Nation-owned suburban shed now known as the First Niagara Pavilion in nearby Burgettstown.

Terms of the new sponsorship deal weren’t disclosed. The Trib Total Media Amphitheatre was once the I.C. Light Amphitheatre, before DiCesar-Engler was acquired by SFX Entertainment.

The shed was later branded the Chevrolet Amphitheatre at Station Square.
