Cherry Nightclub Closes

The Red Rock Casino Resort in Las Vegas has shut down its Cherry Nightclub, claiming the market needs something different.

The 8,500-square-foot oval club was designed by nightspot mogul Rande Gerber, husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford.

A spokeswoman for resort parent company Station Casinos told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the employees were given notice Jan. 6.

Gerber has reportedly not been associated with the club since early 2007, about a year after it opened.
