Rob Has Money In da Bank
BBC Radio 1 presenter Rob da Bank joined Isle Of Wight chief John Giddings saying it’s harder to sell out in 2009, after his Camp Bestival managed to reach its 15,000 per day capacity.
“The key to this year is that you have to get a very strong lineup and you have to be very careful about putting the price of your tickets up. We have never worked harder to sell tickets,” he told the Daily Telegraph, more or less echoing what Giddings said when IOW sold out in the week leading up to the event rather than instantly.
The acts helping Rob put money in the bank at Lulworth, Dorset, June 24-26 included PJ Harvey, Mercury Rev and Chic feat. Nile Rogers.
