Bodies Clarified
Premier Exhibitions and Live Nation could be said to know where the bodies are buried, with an agreement to co-present "Bodies Revealed" and "Bodies…The Exhibition" worldwide. Jam Exhibitions will act as Live Nation’s exclusive co-promoter.
The exhibitions have jointly attracted more than 3.5 million visitors to date, and plans call for Premier and Live Nation to team up to present between six and nine concurrent exhibitions at all times.
For each jointly presented exhibition, Premier will be handle design, installation and licensing responsibilities. Live Nation will oversee marketing, public relations, exhibition operations and security issues.
Jam has been promoting "Bodies Revealed" since 2004, when it formed a partnership with Michael Cohl’s CPI and they joined forces with Premier to tour the human anatomy exhibit.
Since forging those relationships, former Live Nation exec Bruce Eskowitz has become CEO of Premier while Cohl has sold his interest in CPI to LN.
"We are very pleased to continue our association with Michael Cohl, CPI and the folks at Live Nation on this incredibly engaging project and we’re looking forward to working on promoting the exhibition across the world," Jam Exhibitions exec Steve Traxler told Pollstar.
A spokesman for Live Nation told Pollstar the company had no comment at press time.
Under terms of the deal, Live Nation’s right to jointly present exhibitions is exclusive on a worldwide basis, except for North America, China and "certain other geographic locations," according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Premier.
The agreement was reached November 28th. Financial terms were not disclosed.
