A Monster Of A Ticket

Theatregoers hoping to score a seat for Mel Brooks’ upcoming Broadway production of "Young Frankenstein" had better get used to paying for the ritz.

Premier weekend tickets to the show will top out at $450 and premium seats will knock you back $375, according to the Los Angeles Times, while weekday performances will come in at $350 and $275. Orchestra seats from the second row back will apparently be sold for $120.

Brooks’ previous Broadway adaptation of "The Producers" established the now-standard premium theatre ticket, with seats reaching $480 during the show’s six-year run.

"Young Frankenstein" opens in NYC at the Hilton Theatre November 8th.
