Morrissey Meat & Greet

There was an unusual double-booking at AEG’s newest Texas venue, the Palladium, according to a Dallas Observer blog.

The former Gilley’s has been reopened as a multi-room venue that can host a rock concert in one area and a wedding reception in another.

That allegedly became a problem when vegetarian Morrissey was booked the same evening as an adjacent wedding reception that was serving meat.

In fact, a no-meat clause is supposedly in Morrissey’s rider.

Staff allegedly burned incense to keep the barbecue smell from wafting into the Palladium’s green room.

Venue representatives did not return Pollstar’s phone calls, but why should lack of official confirmation get in the way of a meaty story?
