Partial E2 Tragedy Settlement
A partial settlement has been made involving the E2 nightclub tragedy.
“It addresses a number of issues, the responsibility that club owners, promoters, radio stations, their obligation to protect the patrons,” plaintiffs attorney Melvin Brooks told ABC 7 News.
The $1.5 million settlements reportedly cover civil suits against the club owner, manager and another person.
Civil suits are still pending against the City of Chicago and Clear Channel Communications.
Twenty-one people died and another 95 were injured in a crowd crush during a stampede at the E2 February 17, 2003.
