Pyrotech Stalks Mandrell

A pyrotechnician who once worked at Louise Mandrell Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., pleaded guilty to stalking after sending a mysterious package to the country star’s home.

The package, sent by Kirk Easterwood on April 27th, had to be opened by a bomb squad because of his background with explosives. Police said he had a history of using a four-leaf clover as a calling card in his correspondence, and a clover was taped to the package.

Inside was a pocketknife, Tarot cards, homemade greeting cards decorated with comic book characters, pyramids and crystal balls.

Easterwood had harassed one of Mandrell’s employees for three years after being fired from the theatre, according to police.

The pyrotechnician pleaded guilty May 3rd, but police agreed to drop charges after a year if he doesn’t make contact with Mandrell or her employees.

Police said that if Easterwood violates that order, he will be charged with a felony.
