Neil Tears It Up

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil won’t let a little thing like a calf muscle tear keep him off the stage. Defying doctors’ orders, he returned to performing a day after falling and sustaining the injury during an Atlanta tour stop September 16th.

“I just felt something snap in my leg, like a cramp,” Neil said. “I just couldn’t go on.”

The band was forced to end the concert about five songs in.

Despite initial reports that the singer broke his leg in the accident, he was treated and released from Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital the next day.

No shows were canceled, and Mötley Crüe said the Atlanta concert would be rescheduled.

Neil reportedly joined the band’s September 18th show at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven, Miss.

Doctors advised him to take it easy and give the muscle a chance to heal, but he was hearing none of that.

“He will be able to perform, but can’t really jump around until it heals,” the band’s Nikki Sixx said. “Luckily, we have a few days off here and there for him to recover.”
