The Boss scored another mammoth decade on the road the same way he always has: With a sterling team committed to putting his all-time live act on stages around the world.
Longtime manager Jon Landau broke down Springsteen’s success for Pollstar: “Bruce on tour is the beneficiary of a longstanding team. All of the tours of the last 40 years were managed by Jon Landau Management (Jon Landau, Barbara Carr). George Travis is our unrivaled tour director, winner of every award the profession has to offer, and a man with the people skills, technical knowledge, ability to hire the very best and to deliver the highest quality production while still preserving the artist’s capital. Bruce’s independent agent (going back to the early Seventies) Barry Bell (who worked with our great friend, the never to be forgotten Frank Barsalona) has worked with modern master Rob Light and CAA for the last 20 years to make sure we are fully covered on the booking and financial level. And then there is our captain, quarterback and the greatest artist of his generation, Bruce. With the legendary E Street Band standing at his side, he makes us all ten times better than we would ever be without him.”
Notably, Springsteen’s tally on this chart encompasses his tours with the E Street Band, and doesn’t even factor in the $120.3 million he grossed with “Springsteen on Broadway” in 2017 and 2018.
