Pollstar + VenuesNow 2022 Women Of Live: Lydia Asrat
10Q Management
Co-Founder
As Doja Cat’s career continues to skyrocket following the release of her acclaimed LP Planet Her and the recent news that she will be joining The Weeknd on his upcoming stadium tour, it’s no surprise that one of the top female artists in the world right now has great management. Behind the scenes of Doja Cat stands Lydia Asrat, CEO of 10Q Management and the singer’s co-manager since 2017.
Asrat helped launch Doja Cat to mainstream stardom not only as her manager, but by co-writing her viral hit “Say So.” The single isn’t the only track Asrat has helped pen, with their discography including “Juicy,” “Rules,” “Like That,” “Streets,” and “Woman.”
In addition to her work with Doja Cat, Asrat oversees 10 other clients with 10Q management.
Half of Doja Cat’s Planet Her was written with Asrat while the two were on vacation in Hawaii. The record went on to receive critical acclaim, with nominations in the Grammy Awards’ Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album categories.
At only 29 years old, Asrat has already made quite the name for herself within the industry, and her place as one of Pollstar’s Women of Live 2022 is well deserved.
“The importance of inclusivity and diversity is extremely apparent in my company, 10Q Management,” Asrat told Pollstar. “Providing opportunities for women is extremely important to me, so 90% of our employees are women from various cultural and business backgrounds and the majority of clients we work with are women as well. I think it’s imperative, now more than ever, for women to come together, work together, and support one another, and that is exactly what we are aiming to do. I pride myself on championing everyone around me and offering equal opportunity among the team, and I hope to see this kind of positive teamwork mentality grow in the wider workforce. We have some exciting new projects in the pipeline with our artists, Kendra Jae, Haben and Ilham, and we are so excited for this return of live events so our artists can get back to doing what they love most: performing live.”
