Tina Farris Tours
CEO/Owner
As founder and operator of Good Time Girl Media and Tina Farris Tours, Tina Farris got her start working with the legendary Roots crew back in 1999. Her client list includes greats such as Chris Rock, Lil Wayne, Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Maxwell, Nicki Minaj, Solange, Ella Mai, Anderson .Paak and many more. Over the course of her career, she’s paved new roads and continues to promote diversity within the music industry.
“Excited to really be a part of the conversations that link Roadies of Color United, Diversify the Stage, Live Nation Urban’s crew list, She Is The Music,” Farris told Pollstar. “All of these initiatives.”
On top of her long list of successes within music, Farris revealed that she’s also gone back to school so that she can learn more about another sector of the entertainment industry: film.
“Last year I started film school!” she said. “Going back to school 20 years later has been super insightful and extremely rewarding. I’m taking all of my live production skills and driving them towards my goals of being a showrunner. Ava! Shonda! Mara! Here I come!”
As Farris gets back out on the road following the pandemic, she’s continued to pave paths for Black women in the music industry, including by joining Four Leaf Productions.
“Being a part of the Four Leaf team producing and curating the Versa Festival lineup has been extraordinary,” Farris said. “It’s important to me that I work with likeminded people who are not performative in their actions. The Strength of a Woman Festival with an all-Black woman lineup led by Mary J. Blige and produced by Live Nation Urban is special. Very much what I need to do.”
Farris ensures she aligns herself with companies that reflect her own personal values, with her company aiming to uplift BIPOC women in the industry.
“Biggest change is being SEEN,” Farris said. “I remain loyal to aligning myself only with companies who are likeminded. Performative allyship is not my brand. It’s very important to me that people don’t forget the little black box they posted on their Instagram June 2, 2020.”
