Stevie Nicks and Green Day will be headlining this year
Sea.Hear.Now has announced its 2022 lineup with Stevie Nicks and Green Day as headliners.
My Morning Jacket, Cage The Elephant, Billy Strings, Gary Clark Jr., The Head And The Heart, IDLES, Courtney Barnett and more will also be performing at the festival which takes place on Sept. 17 and 18. This year’s event will host three stages as the event returns to Asbury Park, N.J.
This year promises to see “more action” with the introduction of “The North Beach Rumble” surf contest between the Surf and Sand Stage. Two teams will go head-to-head with coaches Cory Lopez and Sam Hammer during the event. Cassidy McClain, Eric Geiselman, Rob Kelly, Cam Richards, Will Skudin, and more will be taking to the waves during the festival.
Aly & AJ, Peach Pit, Shakey Graves, Cimafunk, The Vansaders and more will also all be joining this year’s lineup.
The 2021 edition of the event saw The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, The Avett Brothers, Billy Idol, Lord Huron, Patti Smith, Grouplove, Moon Taxi and more all taking the stage. Last year had been the event’s return since having to cancel their 2020 show due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The first year of Sea.Hear.Now took place in 2018, with Blondie, Bruce Springsteen, Social Distortion, Inclubus and more all performing at the event. Festival founder Danny Clinch sat down with Pollstar during the festival’s inaugural year, with Clinch sharing that it took six years for the event to get off the ground.
Clinch’s Transparent Gallery will also be returning this year, with artwork from musicians nad talks by contributing artists taking place. at the installation.
Two-day tickets for this year’s event will begin to go on sale on Mar. 9 at 10 a.m. ET. Children under the age of eight will be allowed in for free if they are accompanied by a paying adult.
