The Chicks will embark on a North American headlining tour this summer.

Acclaimed country trio The Chicks announced a 2022 North American summer tour Monday.

The run will take The Chicks, who released Gaslighter, their first album in 14 years, in 2020, to amphitheaters across the country beginning June 14 at St. Louis’ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre and concluding at The Gorge in Washington on Aug. 13.

Other stops include Detroit’s Pine Knob Music Theatre (June 22), Denver-area Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Aug. 2) and a two-night run at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre (July 25-26).

Patty Griffin will provide support on the tour from June 14 to July 16 and Aug. 5 to 13, while Jenny Lewis will open from July 23 to Aug. 2.

Between the second and third headlining dates of their tour, The Chicks will play a previously announced date at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo on June 17.

For the tour, which is being produced by Live Nation, The Chicks are partnering with environmental nonprofit REVERB.

The Chicks last hit the road in 2016 and early 2017 for the “DCX MMXVI World Tour,” which landed them at No. 26 on Pollstar‘s year-end touring chart in 2016 with a gross of $53.2 million.

The top-grossing appearance of that tour was a two-night run at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, April 1-2, 2017, where The Chicks’ brought in $2.3 million – good enough for the trio’s third-most lucrative box office report ever, behind two-night runs at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, in 2006 and 2003, respectively.

On “DCX MMXVI,” The Chicks hit several venues they’ll play in 2022, including Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, where it grossed $1.9 million over two nights in June 2016, and Chicago-area Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, where it grossed $1.3 million the same month.
