Electric Daisy Carnival Unveils 2022 Lineup With Grimes, Illenium, Porter Robinson, Zeds Dead & More

Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) will be returning to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 20-22, and the festival has unveiled its full lineup for this year’s event.

With a lineup boasting Chris Lake, Fisher, Jauz, Madeon, Nora En Pure, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, SVDDEN DEATH, A-Track, Dj Snake, Duck Sauce, Excision, Grimes, Kaskade and deadmau5, Sidepiece, Subtronics, Tiësto, Dillon Francis, John Summit, Liquid Stranger, REZZ, Rusko, Zeds Dead and more, EDC brings together the biggest names in dance music for the weekend.

Kaskade and deadmau5 will be performing together as their newly-launched collaborative project, Kx5. Madeon, Porter Robinson, and Grimes will all be playing DJ sets during the event, and Excision will be performing twice, including one detox set.

In addition to those playing on the festival’s lineup, more artists performing on art cars will be announced in the months leading up to the event.

Last year saw EDC Las Vegas taking place in October after having to postpone their May event due to COVID-19 regulations. This year’s festival sees EDC returning to the last weekend in May for the first time since the pandemic.

deadmau5 plans to embark on his upcoming Cube V3.1 tour this summer, which will see him taking an updated version of his signature Cube out on the road. The electronic musician also has a residency at Zook in Las Vegas’ Resorts World, which features its own version of the Cube.

Illenium grossed a whopping $1.9 million over the course of four shows at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco last November. The artist also opened Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium last July, performing three nights at the venue.

Grimes, meanwhile, has been gearing up for the release of her sixth studio album, Book 1, which will arrive sometime this year.

Pasquale Rotella, the founder and CEO of Insomniac, which puts on EDC Las Vegas among a multitude of other events every year, was named to Pollstar‘s Impact 50 in 2021.
