The brainchild of All Things Live promoters Liam Carroll and Kasper Boldt, Common Ground Festival aims to “move away from genre limitations and bring a diverse pool of artists to the same stage,” according to the announcement.
The premiere will offer everything from punk, to grime, to psych, to hyper-pop, and will “deliberately be a small affair, allowing us to present artists in a more intimate setting than they would usually be expected to play in,” the announcement continues.
The first edition of Common Ground Festival will take place at Copenhagen’s Volume venue, and be limited to 800 per day. The confirmed lineup includes U.S. punk rockers Parquet Courts, rappers CASISDEAD and NME Award winner Berwyn, both from the UK, just like English indie-pop legends Metronomy. They’re joined by Dorian Electra, Donny Benét, Altin Gün, Tess Parks, and Pink Siifu.

“One thing that really excites me about this project is that you’d usually expect to see these headliners playing much larger venues, or to much larger festival crowds,” promoter Liam Carroll explained, adding, “Experiencing live music in this manner really allows you to feel like you’re a part of something special.”
Tickets go on sale March 31. Full festival tickets are priced at DKK 950 ($140), day tickets are DKK 450 ($67).
